Authenticity, curiosity, and humor are central to how I show up as a therapist; I believe therapy can be meaningful while still leaving room for laughter. I bring my genuine self into the therapy room, and strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable doing the same! There’s no need to filter, mask, code switch, or perform a version of yourself that feels more “acceptable” here.

I’m Maddie (she/her), Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My goal is to cultivate a safe and welcoming space where we can explore what’s going on beneath the surface, make sense of your experiences, and develop a deeper, and kinder, understanding of yourself. To do this, I’ll primarily draw from Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Relational Therapy approaches where we’ll explore how your past experiences influence the way you think, feel, and relate to yourself and others today (Psychodynamic); focus on your strengths, values, and capacity for growth (Humanistic); and pay close attention to the relationships and patterns that show up both inside and outside of the therapy room (Relational). 

I view the therapeutic relationship we build together as one of the most important parts of the work, and we’ll use that relationship to better understand your experiences and create opportunities for something different. As a neurodiverse person myself, I especially enjoy working with neurodiverse populations and recognize the value of creating an affirming therapy space.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Illinois State University.
