Nothing makes me happier than finding a hidden gem of a restaurant or booking a trip to somewhere new! Just like in therapy, I believe the best moments often come when we embrace spontaneity, curiosity, and a willingness to explore.
I’m Nicky (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor candidate, bilingual in English and Spanish. As a first-generation Latina, I understand how much our cultures, identities, and lived experiences shape who we are, and I’m passionate about creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and safe to show up as your full self. In therapy, my work is heavily centered on client-focused care, ensuring that each session meets you where you are. I believe healing happens when we feel understood and have the space to explore the things that might be holding us back—whether that’s anxiety, relationship challenges, big life transitions, or figuring out who we are. While I can offer tools and coping strategies, I tailor everything based on what feels right for you. Together, we’ll create a space that is supportive, empowering, and reflective of your unique needs.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Park University and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University.
