Cofounder and Executive Director
Jaylon Cunningham, LPC Candidate
Outside the therapy space, I recharge through art, film, and storytelling, anything that invites reflection and imagination. I believe that creativity, much like therapy, helps us make sense of the world and of ourselves.
I’m Jaylon Cunningham (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) candidate. I’m passionate about creating a warm, reflective space where clients can feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore the deeper layers of their experiences. My approach is psychodynamic and person-centered, meaning I believe that insight and healing come from understanding how our past relationships and experiences influence who we are today while also centering your voice, goals, and values in every session.
I specialize in working with individuals across the lifespan navigating life transitions, generational and cultural trauma, and identity development. I particularly enjoy working with those interested in doing deeper self-exploration and developing greater awareness of their inner world. When appropriate, I also enjoy incorporating art-making and creative expression into sessions as a way to promote insight and connection.
I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fontbonne University in St. Louis.
