Psychotherapist

Emily Balentine, MSW, LCSW

“Claiming your right to exist without limits includes giving yourself permission to rest.”

I’m Emily (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Ida Lillie Psychotherapy and Wellness.

I know that navigating and prioritizing mental health can feel isolating and daunting. However, you are not alone. Together, we will work towards what you value and aim to bring change into your life. I firmly believe in the idea that knowledge is power and emphasize collaborating towards your goals.

With extensive experience in higher levels of care, I am fully trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and advanced trauma protocols like DBT-PE, CPT, and WET. I am passionate about supporting individuals seeking to create or deepen their mindfulness practice, process trauma, and/or break free from the cycles of overachievement or people-pleasing. I am committed to creating a safe and neurodivergent affirming space.

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago and my Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare and Justice from Marquette University.

P.S. I’d love to hear about any pets you may have or want to have!
